Big Giant Sigh

What a month! We are all moved in to the new house and we love it. Turns out that there is a lesbian couple up the street and a single lesbian right next door. So we have our own little "gayborhood" out in the county surrounded by the Amish.

Everyone else that we have met in the neighborhood has been cool so far too. It's a very interesting mix of people. Gay and lesbian couples, interracial couples, older retired people, you name it. Plus, almost everyone has a dog so Rocky is in heaven meeting everyone.

We have had weekends full of projects to get the house to the level that we want it, but Mike and I have decided that this weekend is enough. We aren't going to do any projects!

So on top of all that, I started my new job this past Monday and so far, I really like it. It's nice to work for a real company again. I only have to do my job and mine alone. I don't need to worry about creditors calling the office or bounced paychecks anymore. Talk about a load off of my mind.

I feel like Mike and I have started a whole new chapter in our lives and it's very exciting. Now I can work on getting myself back into a regular schedule of blogging too. I need to catch up on everything.

LOL gayborhood...

Congrats on the new place!

Thats awesome ..its good to know when enough is enough even though you are all excited to get everything done.Congrats again on the house and the job ...and good for Rocky !!

It's been a while since my last visit, but I, too, want to lend my words of congratulations to you guys.

As you described the new surroundings, I found myself smiling at the mental pictures your words create. It sounds like a wonderful, fresh start.

Enjoy!

About me

  • I'm Ron
  • From Honeybrook, Pennsylvania, United States
  • This will be the ongoing story of a thirty something year old gay man living in the suburbs of Philadelphia with my partner and our boxer, Rocky. Don't expect a lot of riveting drama, just a regular guy with a great life and great friends surrounding me. I will try my best to be witty and somewhat interesting but I will warn you that I may just rant incoherently to get things off my chest. By the way...sometimes names will be changed to protect the innocent. We'll miss you Brutus!
