Daily Stress

I'm still waiting to hear about this job offer. My 3rd and last interview was last Monday and Im told that this is a normal waiting time for this company so I'm not concerned. (Well, other than the annoying little voice in my head that tells me "you're not gettin it and you will be stuck in your current job FOR-EVER".)

I wake up in the morning not being too worried about it but then by about 11am I'm practically having a full on breakdown. Then by the afternoon, I'm good again. I think this seriously has brought out the manic in me.

I was thinking last night though how nice it is to come home after days like that. I was on the phone with a good friend of mine telling him the whole story and I mentioned that Mike was being so supportive during this process. My friend said. "Well you guys are really good at the ying and yang thing, when one of you is stressed out, the other seems to keep the stressed one from the brink, even if they are stressing about the same thing."

It made me thankful for a great guy like Mike. When I come home I can forget about all of the crap going on during the day. When I close the door from coming in, it's like it all starts to fall off of me. Of course being mauled with kisses from an over exuberant boxer tends to help too.

I hope to be posting soon about a great new job, but in the meantime, I'm still hangin in here, just waiting for the email with the offer and waiting to come home home at the end of the day if I don't get it.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Waiting sucks! Any news?

About me

  • I'm Ron
  • From Honeybrook, Pennsylvania, United States
  • This will be the ongoing story of a thirty something year old gay man living in the suburbs of Philadelphia with my partner and our boxer, Rocky. Don't expect a lot of riveting drama, just a regular guy with a great life and great friends surrounding me. I will try my best to be witty and somewhat interesting but I will warn you that I may just rant incoherently to get things off my chest. By the way...sometimes names will be changed to protect the innocent. We'll miss you Brutus!
