Thursday Thoughts

I just got done making an awesome holiday CD. I'm pretty proud of it if I do say so myself.

Today was the last full day of work until January and that is even better. Tomorrow we work until about noon, then our boss takes us out to lunch then home for 1o days....gotta love that!

Christmas shopping is done, especially thanks to Dina who is the best ever!

Wrapping is done. Can I tell you how much I hate that part? I'm just not good at it. Mike is awesome with it, but I'm sure it would be tacky to ask him to wrap his own presents.

Last weekend's birthday celebration and Mark's party was a blast! We got home at about 3:30 on Sunday morning. I think that qualifies for a good time. It was great to hang out with everybody. But more importantly is that Mark is so incredibly happy with his new man. Bill is awesome. Mike and I love him already!

Work has been a chore this week and I think it's all because I knew I had over a week off coming to me.

Rocky has done well with the tree and presents on the floor. He checked it out a few times, but really that's about it. I'm proud of the little guy! He's getting really tall, I think I need to post an updated picture.

Well that's kind of it for a Thursday night. I realize it was all very random, but....oh well, it's at least a post.

OH WAIT - My new favorite Christmas song? "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas" If you haven't heard it, you have to. If you can't find it, email me and I'll send it to you.

37 Today

37 is such a random number.

It's been a great birthday so far! Tonight is Mark's awesome annual Christmas party. Supposed to be over 40 people there this year so should be a blast.

What more could I ask for then to spend an evening partying with my best and closest friends and my incredible partner?

Rocky Receives an Edumacation

For the first time as a dog owner, I have decided to enroll my pup in an obedience class. I was feeling a little defeated because of it yesterday but now I'm fine. Rocky has hit his teen years and has become quite the handful.

After a year of knowing all the basics; sit, stay, shake, down, come, he has decided to throw all of that out and strike out on his own. When you tell him to do something, you can see the look of understanding in his eyes, but it is immediately followed by, "ummmm yeah, I don't think I want to do that right now." Then the word "no" has lately been responded to with a series of what can only be described as puppy curse words.

Then after waking up at 3am on Sunday morning to find that for some reason he decided to chew on one of Michael's shoes, I realized it was time to get some assistance.

My little boy will be attending classes beginning in January. God help the other pups and owners in the class, it will be an experience for all.

About me

  • I'm Ron
  • From Honeybrook, Pennsylvania, United States
  • This will be the ongoing story of a thirty something year old gay man living in the suburbs of Philadelphia with my partner and our boxer, Rocky. Don't expect a lot of riveting drama, just a regular guy with a great life and great friends surrounding me. I will try my best to be witty and somewhat interesting but I will warn you that I may just rant incoherently to get things off my chest. By the way...sometimes names will be changed to protect the innocent. We'll miss you Brutus!
